INNOCENT THING – Joon-ki was once a former rugby athlete and is currently a popular Physical Education teacher at an all-girls’ high school. His pregnant wife Seo-Yeon is due to give birth to their first child imminently. Although he’s used to playful advances from pubescent students, things take a dangerous turn when Young-eun falls hard for her teacher and daringly confesses her feelings for him. Amid growing rumors, he is soon consumed with guilt and attempts to end the relationship. However Young-eun’s pure crush slowly turns to obsession. She starts to regard everyone related with Joon-ki as obstacles and the farther he keeps her away, the bolder her obsession and madness grows. A high school student develops a crush on her gym teacher. Former physical athlete and father-to-be Joon-Ki works as a PE teacher at an all-girls high school, where many of the students find him to be an attractive man. Young-Eun is a particular outgoing and brash young girl whom is very straight forward and is creative in finding ways to interact with Joon-Ki, whom is the center of her crush. During one fateful rainy day, Joon-Ki is alone in the classroom with Young-Eun and things go too far. Joon-Ki tries very heard to correct the errors of his ways and wants to put it behind him, but the smitten Young-Eun’s obsession with him seems to know no limit. And soon Joon-Ki finds himself with a shattered marriage.

L’ASSASSINO E ANCORA TRA NOI – A couple drives to a secluded lovers’ lane on the outskirts of Florence to have sex and is gunned down by a gloved prowler, who uses a knife and a tree branch to sexually mutilate the body of the female victim. The double homicide is the latest in a series of them, the work of a serial killer dubbed “II Mostro” who Christiana Marelli, a Criminology student, is researching for her thesis, to the dismay of her professor, the local police and her doctor boyfriend, Alex. As Christiana investigates II Mostro, she begins receiving strange telephone calls and finds herself being shadowed by a stalker, who at one point attempts to break into her apartment whiles she is home alone. A bartender who had offered to meet with Christiana to provide to provide her with information is later found hanged and Christiana begins to suspect that her boyfriend is II Mostro due to a combination of mounting circumstantial evidence, Alex’s conspicuous absences during all of the murders, and the fact that she had told him about her planned rendezvous with the barkeep shortly before the man was found dead. After a couple whom she knew personally is murdered by II Mostro, Christiana attends a séance in the hope that it can summon the victims’ spirit and shed light on the identity of II Mostro. During the ceremony, the medium has a vision of II Mostro butchering a pair of camping lovers and spontaneously develops a wound similar to one that II Mostro had inflicted upon one of the new victims. Christiana leaves the séance and races to the theater that she had last seen Alex at, she finds him there, which seemingly puts to rest her suspicions of him being II Mostro. The film ends with Christiana making her way to the seat next to Alex (at one point muttering “excuse me” to the viewer) before settling in to watch L’assassino e ancora tra noi.

THE CABLE GUY – After a failed marriage proposal to his girlfriend Robin Harris, Steven M. Kovacs moves into his own apartment. Taking advice from his friend Rick, Steven bribes cable guy, Ernie “Chip” Douglas, to give him free movie channels. Chip gets Steven to hang out with him the next day and makes him one of his “preferred customers.” Chip takes Steven to the satellite dish responsible for sending out television signals. Steven tells his problems with Robin to Chip, who advises him to admit his faults to Robin and invite her over to watch Sleepless in Seattle. Chip begins acting more suspiciously, running into Steven and his friends at the gym and leaving several messages on Steven’s answering machine. When Robin comes over to watch the movie, the cable is out, due to Chip, who intentionally sabotaged Steven’s cable. Chip fixes the cable under the condition that they hang out again, to which Steven reluctantly agrees. Chip takes Steven to Medieval Times, where Chip arranges for them to battle in the arena, referencing the Star Trek episode “Amok Time”. Chip behaves aggressively, nearly killing Steven, who eventually beats him in combat. When they arrive at Steven’s home, Chip reveals that he’s installed an expensive home theater system in the living room, which includes a television and a karaoke machine. Chip later hosts a party attended by Chip’s “preferred customers”. Steven decides to enjoy the party and with Chip’s help, Steven sleeps with a young party guest named Heather, who later Chip reveals is a prostitute, to which Steven responds by throwing him out. Chip tracks down Robin, who is on a date with another man. When the man goes to the bathroom, Chip severely beats him and tells him to stay away from Robin. He later upgrades Robin’s cable, saying that it is on Steven. Robin decides to get back together with Steven as a result. However, Steven tells Chip that they cannot be friends, which sets a hurt Chip on a series of vengeful acts. He gets Steven arrested for possession of stolen property at the moment that Steven makes a big business deal. During his time in jail, he is visited by his parents and Chip, who mocks him through a prison visitation window. Steven tries to alert a guard about Chip, but the guard is one of Chip’s “preferred customers” and thus does not react. After a weekend of humiliation, Steven is released on bail. During a dinner with his family and Robin, Steven is horrified to see Chip in attendance. Steven privately tells him to leave, but Chip tells him to play along or he will show everyone a picture of Steven with the prostitute. The evening goes from bad to worse when Chip manipulates the family, tells several bad jokes and eventually pushes Steven too far by playing a sexualized version of the game show Password with the rest of the family. Steven files into a rant about Chip’s true intentions but nobody believes him. Chip whispers something disturbing about Robin into Steven’s ear, which results in Steven punching Chip in the face, shocking everyone else. Chip complies and leaves, feigning depression. Steven is fired from his job the next day when Chip sends out a video of Steven insulting his boss that was recorded on a hidden camera in his apartment. Steven has a nightmare about Chip breaking down and chasing him out of the window in the middle of the night with eerie green eyes. After doing some investigating, Rick tells Steven that Chip has been fired from the cable company for stalking customers and uses the names of television characters as aliases such as Chip Douglas from My Three Sons and Larry Tate from Bewitched. Chip calls Steven that night, telling him he is paying Robin a visit. After visiting Robin’s empty apartment, Steven tracks them down to the satellite dish, where Chip holds Robin hostage in a rainstorm. After a physical altercation and a chase, Steven is able to save Robin. As the police arrive, Chip goes into a speech on how he was raised by television and apologizes to Steven for being a bad friend. Chip dives backwards from the top of a ladder above the satellite dish, falling onto it and knocking out the television signal to the entire town. Chip survives the fall and avoids the satellite’s middle spike, much to his dismay and injures his back. As Steven and Robin reunite, Steven forgives Chip and asks for his real name. Chip jokingly replies “Ricky Ricardo”. Chip is taken to the hospital in a helicopter. When one of the paramedics addresses him as “buddy”, Chip asks the paramedic if he is truly his buddy, to which the paramedic replies, “Yeah, sure you are,” causing Chip to smile deviously.'
CAPE FEAR (1962) – Now he had only one weapon left – Murder! To prevent an even more shocking game! After spending eight years in prison for rape, Max Cady is released. He promptly tracks down Sam Bowden a lawyer whom he holds personally responsible for his conviction because Sam interrupted his attack and testified against him. Cady begins to stalk and subtly threaten Bowden’s family. He kills the Bowden family dog, though Sam cannot prove Cady did it. A friend of Bowden’s, Police Chief Mark Dutton attempts to intervene on Bowden’s behalf, but he cannot prove Cady guilty of any crime. Bowden hires Private Detective Charlie Slevers. Cady brutally rapes a promiscuous young woman named Diane Taylor when he brings her home, but neither the private eye nor Bowden cam persuade her to testify. Bowden hires three men to beat up Cady and persuade him to leave town, but the plan backfires when Cady gets the better of all three. Cady’s lawyer vows to have Bowden disbarred. Afraid for his wife Peggy and 14-year-old daughter Nancy, Bowden takes them to their houseboat in Cape Fear. In an attempt to trick Cady, Bowden makes it seem as though he gone to a completely different location. He fully expects Cady to follow his wife and daughter and he plans on killing Cady to end the battle. Bowden and local Deputy Kersek hide nearby, but Cady realizes Kersek is there and kills him. Eluding Bowden, Cady first attacks Mrs. Bowden on the boat, causing Bowden to go to her rescue. Meanwhile, Cady swims back to shore to attack Nancy. Bowden realizes what has happened and also swims ashore. The two men engage in a final violent fight on the riverbank. Bowden overpowers Cady, but decides not to kill him, preferring to let him spend the rest of his life in jail. The film concludes with the Bowden family sitting together on a boat the nest morning. A lawyer’s family is stalked by a man he once helped put in jail. A man enters a courthouse and asks for Sam Bowden. He watches Sam in a trial, then follows him to his car, reintroducing himself as Max Cady. Max makes vaguely threatening comments as Sam drives off. Later, Max watches Sam and his family bowling and makes a pass at the waitress. Sam calls Police Chief Dutton and tells him that Max is being creepy. He explains that Max is an ex-convict who may have a grudge against Sam and that Sam’s family may be at risk. Dutton calls his Deputies and tells them t pick up Max for vagrancy. Max cooperates and obviously knows the law, so they release him. The next day, Sam finds their dog poisoned. Sam suspects Max but cannot prove it. His wife Peggy and daughter Nancy are distraught and Sam explains about Max. Max hires a fiery lawyer, Dave Grafton who accuses the police of harassing Max. Dutton tells Sam he cannot do anything until Max commits a crime, but advises Sam to hire private detective Charles Sievers. Sievers starts following Max. He calls the police to have Max picked up for lewd vagrancy, but by the time they arrive Max is gone and the woman he was with is beaten up. She refuses to help them and leaves town fearful of Max’s revenge. Sievers suggests Sam hire a dock thug, but he refuses. The next day, Sam catches Max leering at his daughter and takes a swing at him. Max doesn’t punch back. Coming out from school, Nancy sees Max and flees, eventually running in front of a car. She’s ok, but anger builds in Sam and he gets a gun. Peggy convinces him not to go after Max. Sam meets Max in a bar and tries to pay him off. Max says he prefers “death by a thousand cuts” and turns him down. Sam hires the thugs to beat up Max, but he fights them off. Max calls Sam and tells him that he has the law on his side. Sam and Peggy discuss a plan to use Nancy as bait. Sam tells Dutton that he will “hide” his family in a boat on the Cape Fear River, then asks for a Deputy to help him catch Max. Sam and Deputy Kersek stake out the boat. Max arrives and sneaks up on Kersek, killing him. He sets the boat with Peggy on it adrift and Sam chases after. Nancy calls the Sheriff from the dock. Max attacks Peggy, but leaves for Nancy when Sam arrives. Sam and Max fight; Sam shoots Max and Max begs Sam to finish him off. Sam declines, saying Max will rot in jail. The family leaves together.

DA SWEET BLOOD OF JESUS – Spike Lee’s stylized thriller Da Sweet Blood of Jesus is a new kind of love story. Dr. Hess Green becomes cursed by a mysterious ancient African artifact and is overwhelmed with a newfound thirst for blood. He however is not a vampire. Soon after his transformation he enters into a dangerous romance with Ganja Hightower that questions the very nature of love, addiction, sex, and status in our seemingly sophisticated society. A doctor develops a voracious thirst for blood after an art curator gives him a cursed artifact. Subsequently transformed by his inexplicable craving, the doctor falls into a treacherous affair with the curator’s alluring wife.

DAGON – In this adaptation of an H.P. Lovecraft novella, two couples are sailing off the coast of Spain when a storm forces them to seek shelter in a small fishing village. As night falls the vacationers begin to mysteriously vanish, leaving one of the group left to encounter the horrifying true nature of the town that’s claimed him… The nightmare of Paul Marsh, a successful businessman, are haunted by a mermaid that neither he nor his beautiful girlfriend, Barbara can figure out. While on a fishing vacation off the Spanish shore, a sudden storm sends their sailboat crashing into the rocks, causing Paul and Barbara to paddle to the nearby fishing village for help. But the village is inhabited by a race of people who are half-human/half-fish and the time has come for them to sacrifice humans to their monstrous leader, Dagon. Not only that, but Paul’s nightmare becomes horrifying reality when he encounters beautiful and passionate Uxia the mermaid of his visions and boy does she have a surprise for him besides the double tentacles under her skirt.

DAN CURTIS’ DRACULA – Academy Award Winner Jack Palance stars in this terrifying adaptation of Bram Stoker’s classic vampire legend written for the screen by Sci-Fi/Horror master Richard Matheson and produced by the legendary Dan Curtis. Palance is Count Dracula, whose centuries-old existence is threatened after he attacks the lovely Lucy Westenra and her fiancée calls in famed vampire hunter Dr. Van Helsing to investigate. Filmed on location in England and Yugolsavia Dan Curtis’ Dracula has been transferred and restored in 2K High Definition from the original 35mm camera negative and presented here in HD for the first time! Dracula is searching for a woman who looks like his long dead wife. Bistritz, Hungary, May 1897. Natives in Transylvania seem afraid when they learn solicitor Jonathan Harker is going to Castle Dracula on business. Jonathan shows up and finds the Count abrupt and impatient to get things done. He reacts very strongly to a photograph of Harker’s fiancée Mina and her best friend Lucy. After rescuing Harker from his three Brides, the Count forces Harker to write a letter saying that he will be staying Transylvania for a month. Harker climbs down the castle wall and finds Dracula’s coffin, but is attacked and knocked out by one of Dracula’s gypsy servants before he can stake Dracula. They later throw him in the lower levels of the crypt, where the Brides attack Harker. Some months later, the freighter Demeter runs aground on the southern English coast, carrying only Dracula and the dead captain lashed to the wheel. Soon after, Lucy begins to fall ill. Her fiancée, Arthur Holmwood, is perplexed and calls in Dr. Van Helsing. The doctor begins to recognize what might be happening, especially after Lucy walks out of her home at Hillingham and is found, drained, under a tree the next morning. Dracula meanwhile, has flashbacks about a time when he was alive, when his wife (who is also the dead image of Lucy) lay dead in her bed and men had to restrain Dracula in his grief and rage. Lucy’s mother is in the room with Mina when Dracula comes calling the last time, a wolf shattering the window. Lucy soon rises from the dead and comes to the window of Arthur’s home, begging to be let in. Arthur does so, delighted and amazed that she’s alive. This very nearly gets him bitten, but Van Helsing interrupts with a cross causing her to flee. They go to Lucy’s grave and drive a wooden stake into her heart. When Dracula comes to the tomb later and beckons to her, he goes berserk upon finding that she’s truly dead. Mina tells Van Helsing about the news story about the Demeter and the boxes of earth and about Jonathan going to meet Dracula to sell him a house. From these clues, Van Helsing and Holmwood go about finding all but one of Dracula’s “boxes of earth” (containing his native soil, in which a vampire must rest). But back at the hotel, the vampire hunters discover Dracula is there, out for revenge. He has bitten Mina and before their eyes forces her to drink blood from a self-inflicted gash in his chest. All that they love, all that is theirs, he will take. The tracking of Dracula back to his home commences with Van Helsing hypnotizing Mina. Via the bond of blood, she sees through Dracula’s eyes and discovers where he is headed. At the Castle, Van Helsing and Holmwood find and stake the Brides. Jonathan now a vampire, rabid and bloodthirsty attacks Arthur and Van Helsing, but in the struggle is knocked by Arthur into a pit of spikes and is staked. The final confrontation with Dracula takes place in what looks like a grand ballroom. The crosses wielded by the two men are something Dracula doesn’t seem to want to look upon. Dracula gets the better of them, ridding them of their crosses. But one of them manages to pull down curtains from the windows, so sunlight pours in. Dracula is weakened, finally going dormant long enough for Van Helsing to pierce his heart with a long spear. They leave him there. Before the portrait of a living warrior Dracula, with Lucy’s lookalike in the background, a text scrolls across the screen, about a warlord who lived in the area of Hungary known as Transylvania and how it was said he had found a way to conquer death a legend no one has ever disproven. The lord’s name is DRACULA.

DANCES WITH WEREWOLVES – Cassie flees an abusive relationship and falls victim to a moon-worshipping 600-year-okd Romanian Countess; a troubled paranormal investigator of Native American heritage finds himself in a deadly love triangle with a battered-woman werewolf. Kevin wants to start a new life at Hotel Dante, a local hotel for the gab/lesbian community and the current site of the Vallin household which is now reputed to be haunted. While deciding what to do with his life, Kevin becomes acquainted with the residents of the hotel whom include Toby’s best friend Van, an artist who struggles to pay her bills and date her girlfriend Tina. Corey is the long-term resident and outgoing gay guy. Amber is the party girl who has eyes for the local DJ Chrissy. Adam is the broken straight guy at odds with everyone and Josh is the bisexual guy whose current girlfriend is at odds with him. But Kevin and Toby’s newfound romance takes a turn when Kevin finds a trap door in the cellar and inadvertently releases Ambrosius’s evil spirit who, with a kiss from Kevin, becomes corporeal again as a warlock and all hell is about to break lose in Dante’s Cove. In 1840, Ambrosius Vallin is engaged to marry Grace Neville in the island town of Dante’s Cove. When she discovers Ambrosius being buggered by his valet, she uses her powers as the Avatar, or High Priestess, of one sect of the mystical religion called Tresum to kill the valet. Grace imprisons Ambrosius in the sub-basement of her home, cursing him with advanced age. The only way he can win his freedom is through the kiss of a handsome young man. Present Day: Kevin moves to Dante’s Cove to be with his boyfriend Toby, after moving out of his abusive household whom includes his homophobic mother and stepfather. He moves in with Toby in Grace’s old house, now the Hotel Dante, along with Toby’s lesbian artist friend Van. Adam, Toby’s childhood friend who’s a straight “trust fund brat”. Kevin begins seeing visions and hearing voices calling him by name. During a party, Kevin is drawn to the sub-basement and finds the aged Ambrosius. Ambrosius kisses him, regaining his youth and freedom. Ambrosius uses his own Tresum powers, learned while he was in captivity to force Kevin to cut his own wrist, landing Kevin in the hospital.

DANTE’S COVE: PART 2: THEN THERE WAS DARKNESS – In part two of Dante’s Cove, we continue on our journey with the residents of the mysterious Hotel Dante. Ambrosius is doing all he can to influence Kevin and lure him to the dark side. He enlists the help of Cory to assist him as a minion to do his bidding. Meanwhile, Grace has bene trying to work her way between Ambrosius and his menacing hold on the town. Van and Toby continue to work together to research the history of the Cove while trying to break the spell that seems to have a hold on Kevin. Will they be able to overpower Ambrosius before it’s too late? Having been freed from his imprisoned cell, the evil sorcerer Ambrosius Vallin retains corporeal existence from Kevin’s blood and sets up a lair underneath the Dante’s Cove lighthouse where he continues to use his powers to call upon Kevin. But when Ambrosius’ former fiancée, Grace, too enters corporeal existence, she attempts to break up the union with her own black magic. When Grace uses magic to kill Kevin while h’s recovering in the hospital, Ambrosius retaliates by imprisoning her in the bowels beneath Hotel Dante and uses the darkest magic to resurrect Kevin to make him his companion for all eternity. Meanwhile, Toby and Van try to find out what is going on due to the weirdness of Kevin’s death and mysterious resurrection and try to find leads to which Ambrosius tries to prevent them from finding out his connection to Kevin. At the same time, Ambrosius uses his powers to take control of Corby as his slave to have him keep Toby and Kevin apart as he prepares his grand plan, while Grace tries to escape from her dungeon. But in the final battle between the evil Ambrosius and the MORE evil Grace, no matter who will win… all of us still lose.

DARK COUNTRY – Two honeymooners rescue a mysterious car crash survivor in the Las Vegas desert. But their decision to save the man becomes increasingly regrettable when he turns on them, forcing the newlyweds to do the unthinkable. In a blur of paranormal chaos, the couple must take drastic measures to cover up their actions from the local police, ultimately leading each character to an inescapable fate. A newly married couple takes a honeymoon hell-ride through the Nevada desert after hitting a mysterious car crash survivor under a starlit sky. When their injured passenger sudden turns on them, the couple instinctively fights back with lethal force and attempts to cover up their crime from the local police. But there’s no escaping fate and with every move they make the pair only manages to wind ever deeper down a darkened path. Actor Jane makes his directorial debut with this paranormal-tinged thriller also starring Ron Perlman. Newlyweds Dick and Gina decide to head across the Nevada desert for their honeymoon, driving at night to beat the heat. Before they head off, a stranger warns Dick to be careful, as couples have been known to get lost and to stick to the Interstate. Shortly afterward, the couple realize they are heading the wrong way and turn off the highway onto another road. Dick turns off the car headlights to drive by starlight and Gina masturbates herself to orgasm as they head across the desert. Eventually Dick turns the lights back on, immediately swerving to avoid a figure in the middle of the road. Investigating, they find a man severely injured from a car accident. Unable to get a phone signal, they decide to drive him to a hospital themselves, only for the road to come to a sudden end a few miles ahead. During the drive, the couple argue and the injured man awakens with a scream. He asks Gina for a cigarette, advises her to leave her husband and becomes increasingly erratic, finally attempting to strangle Dick and almost causing the car to crash. Gina stops the car and the two men tumble out, continuing to fight until Dick beats the stranger to death with a rock. Dick convinces his wife they need to dispose of the body and together they bury it in a shallow grave. While she fills the hole, Dick finds a revolver in her handbag. Soon after, they arrive at a rest area where several cars are parked. They tidy themselves up and argue until Dick discovers he lost his watch while they were burying the stranger. Refusing to go back, Gina waits at the rest stop with the gun while Dick returns to find his watch. Arriving at the site where they hid the body, Dick finds the grave empty. Gunshots ring out across the desert and Dick races back to the rest stop to find Gina is missing. Nearby he stumbles onto a woman’s grave and realizes that the other cars are rusted and covered with dust. In a panic, he flees, almost colliding head-on with a Deputy Sheriff. In the back of the police car, he rides with the Deputy to the scene, where police are excavating murder victims from a mass grave surrounded by abandoned vehicles. The Deputy explains that this was where the rest area had been 30 years before. Dick recognizes the spot as the location where he buried the stranger. As he watches on from the back of the police car, a Deputy exhumes Gina’s body and finds Dick’s watch. Kick kicks his way out of the patrol car and escapes in one of the nearby vehicles, leading the squad of police in a chase across the desert. Driving with the lights off, he loses them, but a short while later he finds a swarm of insects, losing control and rolling the car. Thrown clear of the wreck, he is then almost run down by another car before he passes out. Some time later, Dick wakes to find himself in the back of his own car, listening to himself and Gina argue and realizes that he was the mysterious stranger that he fought with and murdered earlier in the evening, screaming at this.

Daniel explains that he wasn’t interested in Mona but then developed an obsession – virtually overnight. When he is about to Skype his mother, Abby contacts him instead. After a brief conversation, he receives an incoming Skype call from Mona Wilson, who kills herself on camera. Following this incident, Daniel becomes more and more paranoid and keeps seeing Mona in the house. Daniel and his friends attempt a séance to contact the spirit of Mona. The idea is that by each holding pens, Mona will communicate with them. Instead, Daniel and Kevin stab Abby through the hand with their pens. She is then lifted up and dragged across the wall. Afterwards, we see the blood from her injured hand spells out “Daniel” on the wall. After more supernatural events, Abby and Kevin head over to the dead girl’s house. They are looking for a personal item of Mona’s they can use as part of a ritual to help her move on to the afterlife. When they arrive at the house, they find it empty. They break in and guided by Daniel who has a blueprint of the house, they head to Mona’s room which is bare apart from a blood-stained mattress (from Mona shooting herself). They realize with Daniel’s help, that there is a false wall at the back of a closet which leads to a secret room which contains a number of strange artifacts and a large number of photos of Daniel. Mona was stalking Daniel, not the other way around. One of the items they find has a strange symbol embossed on it. Daniel finds out what it is and uses the name of the symbol as the password to Mona’s cloud account. There he finds a folder called “Daniel” which contains a spell. It turns out that Mona secretly had a crush on Daniel and had been obsessively stalking him for a long time. She put a spell om Daniel to make him fall in love with her. It worked, but he was too shy to contact her, so Mona used a second spell so that her spirit could enter into Daniel’s body alongside his own spirit so they would be together. There are five steps to the spell, the first of which was Mona’s suicide. They realize that if all the steps are not completed by Daniel, the spell will fail. Abby therefore takes the last step, hoping that this will break the spell. However, Abby has already unwittingly carried out the previous steps of the spell so performing the last step brings Mona’s spirit into her body. While they are cleaning up after the failed séance, Abby kills Kevin and then cuts off Daniels leg so she can remove his house arrest monitor and abduct him without notice. When Stokes visits, he sees the severed leg on the floor and just thinks Daniel has absconded, as he described when he was first fitted with the tag. In a post-credits scene, Abby still possessed by Mona’s spirit, is seen driving Daniel out of town while he lets out muffled screams.

Jim introduces himself to her as Carl and falsely claims that his sister has been diagnosed with cancer. Betsy and Jim draw closer over their difficult lives and she invites him to an Alcoholics Anonymous meeting. On his tour of Marznap’s home and crime scenes, Jim becomes increasingly disturbed by hallucinations and vague flashbacks. Eventually, Jim hallucinates Marznap himself, who urges him to teach the world what it feels like to be a victim. Once tortured and gang-raped in juvenile detention, Marznap explains he sought revenge by burning down a church, as he blamed those people for doing nothing to help him while his father abused him. After the Alcoholics Anonymous meeting, Jim and Betsy bond further and Betsy invites him to dinner at her house. Betsy offers him marijuana and he reluctantly accepts. When she tries to kiss him, he becomes agitated and demands that they have sex without any affection. When she asks him to slow down, he berates her and leaves. Marznap encourages him to visit Iris. A transwoman, Iris has anal sex with Jim and he flashbacks to a childhood gang rape. Jim and Carl discuss their shared experiences and Jim expresses his belief that he is broken beyond repair. The next day, at the restaurant, Betsy apologizes to him and he calls her disgusting. She runs away crying and Jim returns to his motel. Jim breaks into Iris’ room, scares off her client and beats her savagely. After he berates Iris, God and the kids who raped him, he takes Iris to the church where he strangles her. Marznap and Jim then discuss what to do next: Marznap counsels him to commit suicide and Jim slits his own throat. In the epilogue, the police reveal that Jim had killed six trans-women prostitutes on his various dark tourism trips and a young man visits Jim’s house as part of his own dark tourism. Around a hole in the wall in Jim’s house, a message reads “From this void, no one returns!”

What will Lynn do to convince Bank to overcome his moral dilemma and help them? How BAD will this GENIUS become? BAGHEAD – Four struggling actors retreat to a cabin in Big Bear, California in order to write a screenplay that will make them all stars. Problem is: What happens their story idea, a horror flick about a group of friends tormented by a villain with a bag over his head starts to come true? While the Duplass Brothers were shooting their fast feature film The Puffy Chair, a crew member raised the question “What’s the scariest thing you can think of?” Someone immediately said “a guy with a bag on his head staring into your window.” Some agreed, but some thought it was downright ridiculous and, if anything, funny (but definitely not scary). Thus, Baghead was born, an attempt to take the absurdly low-concept idea of a “guy with a bag on his head” and make a funny, truthful, endearing film that, maybe, just maybe, was a little bit scary, too. The Puffy Chair filmmaking duo Jay and Mark Duplass return to the realm of cinema with this tale of a man, a bag, and the strangeness that occurs when the two independently inconsequential factors come together. BAD MOON – Full, crescent, quarter… each is a Bad Moon for Ted Harrison. By day, he’s a photojournalist visiting family in the Pacific Northwest. By night, he transfigures into a horrific half-human – a werewolf. Dead men tell no tales, so Ted’s sure he alone knows about his vile double life. The secret, however, may be out. The family dog, Thor, devoted to defending the household, has his suspicions. Writer/Director Eric Red delivers a new infusion of thrills with this red-blooded shocker. Michael Pare portrays Ted, hiding his accursed condition from his sister. What better way to hide it than to create suspicion that the local killings are the work of another – especially if that other is the family’s all-too-wise German Shepard! But Rai breaks out of the asylum and after getting willingly drugged by Nisa, Ria is coerced into assisting her on a new mission, the ultimate assault (with a Samurai Sword and UZI machine gun from her father’s secret room). All those who contributed to the many years of emotional and physical abuse and body shaming will be in harm’s way. Meanwhile, a nerdy ballerina, Maren (Maria Martinez) starts writing a novel based on the events that transpired, deeply offending some for turning such sensitive material into a book, for young audiences. Soon, her and her sister, Saren (Rubi Garcia), realize every word being typed on Maren’s typewriter is somehow altering real life. Will this strange and psychedelic paralleling fantasy carry the sisters, along with anyone else, to a merciless blood-splattered doom?

In the late 1960s, an aging priest suffering from early onset dementia, a struggling African American female singer, a talkative salesman on vacation and an unfriendly young woman who may or may not be a hippie, arrive by chance on the same day at Lake Tahoe’s “El Royale”, a once glitzy but now rundown roadside hotel lying on the very border between California and Nevada, and operated by a single troubled staff member who holds many dark secrets. Throughout the day, it becomes increasingly clear that almost no one there is exactly who they seem, but things really go from bad to worse in the evening when heavy rain hits and someone much worse than those inside arrives to find “a friend” and bring hell to all those unlucky enough to be there at the time. In 1969, Catholic priest Daniel Flynn, singer Darlene Sweet, salesman Laramie Seymour Sullivan, and sarcastic Emily Summerspring arrive at the El Royale, where they meet the hotel’s only employee, Miles Miller. Upon checking into the honeymoon suite, Sullivan (in reality an FBI agent named Dwight Broadbeck, sent to investigate the hotel and remove evidence of their operations) discovers a passageway leading into a corridor looking onto one-way mirrors in each of the hotel’s rooms, as well as a 16mm camera setup. Broadbeck witnesses an apparent kidnapping in progress in Emily’s room; he is instructed not to interfere with the kidnapping and to sabotage the guests’ vehicles to prevent any of them from escaping. Meanwhile, Flynn invites Sweet to join him for dinner. She sees him drugging her drink and knocks him unconscious with a bottle, running out of the hotel to escape. Miles finds Flynn and reveals to him the secret passageway, afterwards explaining that “management” has instructed him to film the guests and send the footage to them. However, he chose to hold back one particularly incriminating film reel of a recently deceased public figure. Against orders, Broadbeck attempts to rescue Emily’s hostage, who is revealed to be her younger sister, Rose. Emily opens fire on Broadbeck, killing him and accidentally injuring Miles who was watching from behind the mirror. Sweet attempts to escape in her car after witnessing the murder, but Flynn arrives. He reveals that he is really a criminal named Donald O’Kelly, who was imprisoned after a botched robbery ten years earlier. Recently freed on parole, O’Kelly has returned to the El Royale in priest garb to retrieve the money which his brother Felix had hidden there before being killed in a double cross ten years earlier – but owing to his failing memory he can’t recall which room it was in. He had attempted to drug Sweet to gain access to her room, believing the cash to be buried there. The two agree to split the cash amongst themselves. In the lobby, Emily and Rose, having discovered the corridor, interrogate Miles about the surveillance operation. It is revealed that Emily has forcibly removed her sister from a cult led by Billy Lee, a charismatic and sadistic figure responsible for a string of murders in Malibu. However, Rose reveals that she has already called Billy about their location. As O’Kelly and Sweet attempt to leave with the money, Billy Lee and his cultists arrive and hold them hostage along with Emily and Miles. While interrogating and terrorizing the group, Lee learns of the money and the film, which he realizes is worth much more than the money. In a sadistic game of roulette, Lee kills Emily. Using a brief power outage to his advantage, O’Kelly attacks Lee as the hotel lounge catches fire. During the chaos, Miles reveals that he served as a sniper in Vietnam who killed 123 people. At Sweet’s insistence, he picks up a gun and kills Lee and the other cultists. A distraught Rose stabs Miles but is shot by O’Kelly afterwards. Before Miles passes, Sweet tells O’Kelly to absolve him of his guilt over his actions in Vietnam, which he does. O’Kelly and Sweet retrieve the money and Sweet tosses the film into the fire before the pair flee the hotel. Not long after, Sweet performs at a show in Reno for the crowd, as O’Kelly proudly looks on.

DARK FLOORS – Concerned for his autistic daughter’s health, a father sees her removal from the hospital by force as the only option. An elevator break-down prevents a smooth exit and renders them trapped with others. Yet the incident is only the beginning of the nightmare. As the doors open the hospital appears mysteriously deserted. When mutilated bodies are found, creatures from a dark world start a frightening attack. DARK MOUNTAIN – Somewhere deep within Arizona’s Superstition Mountains lies the most famous lost gold mine in the world – the Lost Dutchman Mine. Its estimated worth is around 200 million dollars. Since the turn of the twentieth century, thousands of people have scoured the mountains in search of it, hundreds have lost their lives in the process, but not one has returned with an ounce of gold. Legend has it the mine is cursed. In March of 2011, three Los Angeles filmmakers set out to find the mine and document their entire search. They never made it out of the Superstitions. Eight months later, their camera and cell phones were recovered along the western edge of LaBarge Canyon. No sign of the filmmakers themselves has been found to date. Dark Mountain is the chilling reconstruction from their footage of what are believed to be their last days. Inspired by actual events. They went looking for gold. They found something evil. This found footage horror film purports to show “lost” footage captured by three filmmakers who vanished while searching for a lost gold mine in Arizona’s Superstition Mountains. In March of 2011, three filmmakers disappeared in the Superstition Mountains of Arizona while documenting their search for the Lost Dutchman Mine. Their bodies were never found… but their camera was. Three documentary filmmakers set out on a journey into Arizona’s Superstition Mountains to uncover the truth about the most famous lost gold mine in the world – the Lost Dutchman Mine, purportedly the home to a treasure worth 200 million dollars. After they mysteriously disappeared, their camera was found… were they victims of the Dutchman’s curse?
DARK NIGHT – A haunting, artfully understated critique of American gun culture, Tim Sutton’s third feature is loosely based around the 2012 massacre in Aurora, Colorado that took place during a multiplex screening of “The Dark Knight Rises.” Employing a mesmerizing documentary-style technique and a cast of non-professional actors, Dark Night follows the activities of sic strangers over the course of one day, from sunrise to midnight, the shooter among them. Shot in Sarasota, Florida and lensed by veteran French DP Helene Louvart, the dream-like visual articulate both Sutton’s carefully crafted landscapes and the characters’ sense of alienation and suburban malaise. Winner of the Lanterna Magica Award at the Venice Film Festival following its premiere at the Sundance Film Festival, Dark Night is essential viewing, not only for art-house filmgoers, but for anyone invested in the debate over gun violence in America as well. The lives of various suburban Americans intersect when the film premiere they’re attending becomes the site of a mass shooting. Tim Sutton directed this heartbreaking, ripped-from-the-headline drama. The lives of six strangers intersect at a suburban Cineplex where a massacre occurs.
DARK PASSENGER (LANDERS) – Some things will never be forgotten. Beware the truth. Four years after the death of a young girl, Ivan receives a phone call from the one person he thought he’d never speak to again, her brother Matt. Matt invites Ivan on a hiking trip to the desert to talk about the night of her death. Along their journey, they pick up an alien hitchhiker named Vince who becomes determined to tag along with the two. When the car breaks down, they end up at a mechanic’s house in the middle of the desert where Ivan finds himself in a labyrinth of deception and murder.
DARK PASSENGER (2011) – It is a twisted horror story of a therapist desperately trying to understand the psyche of her clearly disturbed patient. DARK PASSAGE (1947) – Bogey’s on the lam and Bacall’s at his side in Dark Passage, Delmer Daves’ stylish film-noir thriller that’s the third of four films Humphrey Bogart and Lauren Bacall made together. Bogart is Vincent Parry, a prison escapee framed for murder who emerges from plastic surgery with a new face. Bacall is Irene Jansen, Vincent’s lone ally. In a supporting role, Agnes Moorehead portrays Madge, a venomous harpy who finds pleasure in the unhappiness of others. The chemistry of the leads is undeniable, and they augment it here with exceptional tenderness. Exceptional, too, are the atmospheric San Francisco locations and the imaginative camera work that shows Vincent’s point of view – but not his face – until the bandages are removed. Lest Irene get ideas, the post-surgery Vincent tells her: “Don’t change yours. I like it just as it is.” So, do we. Robert Montgomery’s 1946 film Lady in the Lake attempted to tell the entire story with a “subjective camera” shooting the film from the point of view of the main character, with the camera acting as his “eyes”. The first hour or so of Dark Passage does the same thing – and the results are far more successful than anything seen in Montgomery’s film. Humphrey Bogart heads the cast as an escaped convict, wrongfully accused of his wife’s murder. After being forced to beat up a man, from whom he’s hitched a ride, Bogart hides out in the apartment of Lauren Bacall, while recovering from plastic surgery, and tries to set about locating the actual murderer. A man convicted of murdering his wife escapes from prison and works with a woman to try and prove his innocence. Bogart plays a man convicted of murdering his wife who escapes from prison in order to prove his innocence. Bogart finds that his features are too well-known and is forced to seek some illicit backroom plastic surgery. The entire pre-knife part of the film is shot from Bogart’s eye-view, with us seeing the fugitive for the first time as he starts to recuperate from the operation in the apartment of a sympathetic young artist (played by Bacall) for whom he soon finds affection. But what he’s really after is revenge. A convicted murderer, Vincent Parry (played by Humphrey Bogart), breaks out of prison. He had been wrongfully convicted of the murder of his wife. Along the way he is helped by a young woman, Irene Jansen (played by Lauren Bacall), who is convinced of his innocence. Soon he has to make a decision between leaving the city or staying around to find out who the real murderer is. And his troubles are just beginning…
DARK REMAINS – Pain never dies. When the daughter Emma of the technical writer Allen Pyke and the photographer Julie is found dead slashed in the throat and wrists in their locked apartment, the couple decides to move to an isolated cabin in the mountains in Kingspike. Julie is very depressed and blames Allen for the death of Emma. Once in the new home, Julie sees the spirit of Emma in a photo she took in a nearby abandoned prison and she becomes obsessed shooting pictures of poltergeists. Allen is advised to move from the place by the local Jim Payne and on May 21^st, Allen finds that the former dwellers of the cabin have committed suicide and he investigates the death in the spot and finds that many people died around May 22^nd. He decides to move with Julie to a hotel, but she does not want to give up on Emma. Brian Avenet-Bradley’s horror film Dark Remains concerns a young couple who attempt to get over the grief they feel after their daughter is killed by moving to a secluded home in the mountains. Soon the two are beset by forces of supernatural evil.

Vidocq (1775-1857) was a noted French detective who was one of the great trailblazers of modern criminal investigation; he’s been credited with establishing the first private investigation firm and pioneered a number of scientific techniques that are still being used today. Vidocq was also a master of disguise and former thief with no small sense of adventure, and his exploits have been fodder for a number of novels, plays and motion pictures in France; Vidocq is a high-tech retooling of his legend that employs cutting-edge digital technology to bring a new visual dazzle to his story. Vidocq (Gerald Depardieu) dies an unexpected death while battling his arch-nemesis the Alchemist and Boisset (Guilluame Canet), an opportunistic journalist, sets out to write his life story, convincing Nimier (Moussa Maaskri), Vidcq’s partner, that he had made arrangements with the great mean himself to collaborate on such a book before his death. Boisset begins interviewing Vidocq’s cohorts, but it seems someone is following the reporter, as the interview subjects have a habit of dying sudden and violent deaths shortly after their stories. As it turns out, the deaths are tied into a case Vidocq investigated in which a number of people were killed by lightning – lightning that was conjured up by none other than the Alchemist. Shot on high-definition digital video equipment to allow special effects artists greater latitude to manipulate the images, Vidocq also features Ines Sastre, Andre Dossollier and Edith Scob. Paris, 1830: In the heart of the town, Vidocq, a famous detective, disappeared as he fights the Alchemist, an assassin that he has been pursuing for a few months. His young biographer, Etienne Boisset, decides to have revenge on Vidocqu’s death and takes the investigation on… In 19^th century Paris, the famed detective Vidocq disappears while pursuing a murderer called the Alchemist. Etienne Boisset a young biographer of Vidocqu’s follows in his footsteps and progressively uncovers Vidocqu’s investigations. He learns how Vidocq was first called in to investigate a series of assassinations by lightning, which led him to pursue the Alchemist. Etienne discovers that the Alchemist is a wizard of sorts who wears a mirrored mask and kills virgins to maintain eternal youth. Even the sex of the Alchemist is a mystery, because it sometimes utters mocking feminine sighs during combat with Vidocq. Etienne probes deeper into Vidocqu’s investigations and eventually comes to learn that the Alchemist uses virgin blood to make magical mirrors that consume human souls. At last, Etienne comes to the end of his trail and discovers Vidocq alive and in hiding. Etienne dons a mirrored mask and reveals himself to be the Alchemist. Vidocq has known all along, however, and is ready to fight his nemesis. During their final confrontation, Vidocq defeats the Alchemist, but the end of the film suggests that the Alchemist survives.
